Penetration and distribution of chemicals related to allergenic properties

The epidermal distribution of two fluorescent compounds with different allergenic capacity are studied using confocal- and two-photon microscopy (TPM) . The transepidermal flux is measured using diffusion cells. This work is important as little is known about the bioavailability and distribution of allergenic compounds in the skin following topical application.
