Studies on sunscreens

Sunscreens are commonly used to protect the skin from sun burn and skin cancer. However, these products are not only protecting agents, they might have unwanted effects themselves, e.g. dibenzoylmethane derivatives widely used as chemical UVA filters, are also potent photoallergens. Thus we perform experimental sensitization studies on photoactivated sunscreens.
